This little love muffin coming into my life has been one of the highlights of 2016. His manager called it, said we would be instant best friends and we were! Bijou is kinda the shit, and I am psyched for his installment of the Buzzzmix series - Vol. 36 drops today! Part of that hard hitting G-House sound, this Arizona producer is producing some heaters and crushing live sets - we had him play one of our SF shows this past fall and it was bananas! Today we are also announcing Bijou's 2017 winter tour, and if your city is on the list you are in for a real treat.  Here's what he had to say about it .... 

"The Guru tour started off as a fun idea, like hey why don't we put together a tour branded around this record. Once the track was done we thought okay this could be a big one, & decided it could actually happen. For this mix I wanted to showcase some of the stuff ill playing on tour and some unreleased originals as well. I'm so proud to present it to you now & wanna give a HUGE shoutout to my team for working around the clock to make it a reality!"

I kinda feel like I have nothing interesting to say tonight, and if you follow BB ... you already know I don't give a shit what you think I think, I really just want to tell stories about my friends and get you to listen to their music. Like his track for example - so many homies here I don't even have the time or energy to explain the multiple levels of hangs and friendships - just know we tite and all of them are amazing music makers! My new loves 1DAFUL (who are the best thing since sliced bread) karate chopped this track to bring us a rad remix of "The New Order" by SNBRN x Shaun Frank X Dr. Fresch. It's deep, it's dirty, it's bass all in your face and ..... you gotta grab this one as a free download HERE!  I'm also gonna do something I never do and include a video from 1DAFUL about this track because I feel like I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't!

DR. FRESCH X ANDREW LUCE - HIT IT FROM THE BACK

Dude it's been such an exciting day for us at BB. Releasing the first BUZZZMIX of the year courtesy of Young Bombs, a new Penguin Prison show announcement, AND NOW that nu nu FRESCH record! Dr. Fresch and Andrew Luce have done something really unique with this track. It starts very cinematic with drum hits and string pads eventually building us into a minimal yet spicy af trap drop that straight just comes out of nowhere. At first I was listening going ok when does it fill out, but then it didn't and I was almost more satisfied that it didn't. We're brought back down into a kind of creepy sounding synthy vocal chop melody as we fall into the next drop. The second chorus is more of what I was expecting and it felt soo good. This is the first track off of the Dr.'s Pharmacy Compilation. If you haven't heard the second track "On and On" you need to, so go do it here. Still one more track to go, so we'll be sitting tight ready for the release of "Make It Drop." Until then nab this free download right hurr.

One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!
